Download the Internship Examples to view some examples of previous available internships and types of organizations that offer internships through the United States and Abroad. The Internship Examples serves as a resource to help students understand the types of internships they can apply for and show examples of key words students can use when researching currently available internships. Another resource to view available internships, students should visit the Career Center “Handshake” database. Please below for directions on how to find/post available LEAP internships.
Click on “Students” and create an account, if necessaryClick on “Jobs” under “Explore” in left-hand menu barEnter “LEAP” in the search box under “Label” (underneath “Location”, “Job Type”, and “Employment Type”)
Click on “Employers” and create an account, if necessaryStart by selecting the “Jobs” tab on the left side navigation bar. This will bring up the Jobs Overview page.Next, select “New Job” in the upper right hand corner. Once you’ve arrived on the job form fill out the required fields, and select “Create Job” at the end of the form. We encourage you to fill out as many of the fields as possible to ensure the position shows up in as many searches as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Add “ATTN: LEAP Students” at the beginning of the job description. When it is approved for posting by the CSU Career Center, it will be tagged appropriately to show up in LEAP student searches.Next, Handshake will ask you to fill in the Job Qualifications to match it up with qualified students. Once you’re finished, hit “Update Qualifications.”This will bring you the to job summary page, where you can see all the information you just entered.Once you’ve created the job you will see a “Post to Schools” button on the left hand side. Select that dropdown and find the schools you’d like to post to. This will send off a request to the school and you’re all set.
